Public relations isn't about hiring the right firm.  It's about building the right relationships, telling the right story and telllingit at the right time.  Learn from renegade entrepreneur MF Chapman who wrote three press releases and has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine (2x), The SF Chronicle (multiple times), on ABC, NBC, CBS, Hybrid Mom Magazine, as well as countless local papers and magazines and on multiple blogs and podcasts.  Learn about how to build positive public relations especially as related to journalists and bloggers as well as how to tell the story in which people are interested in listening.  Learn when to say no to press coverage and when to say yes.  Be ready to turn the press away.

About MF Chapman

MF Chapman is the founder of Cubes&Crayons and Outside the Cube and former owner of Innovative Spaces.  She speaks regularly on work-life balance and entrepreneurial topics.  She works with small business owners to develop their business when not running Cubes&Crayons.  She is an avid fundraiser and active in several local nonprofits.  Additionally, she is working on two books while raising her two beautiful daughters.

This event is the kickoff to Business Development Week.
